Terms and Conditions of Sale 

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of bespoke shoes and related services provided by Efe Laborde Bootmaker ("we," "our," "us") to the customer ("you," "your"). By purchasing our products or services, you agree to be bound by and comply with these terms.

1.1 Initial Consultation: All bespoke orders begin with a personal consultation where we take measurements, discuss your design preferences, and select materials. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price is required to confirm your order.

1.2 Order Confirmation: After finalizing your design during our initial consultation, we will provide an order confirmation detailing the agreed-upon specifications, and final price. Delivery times will be estimated during the initial consultation. 

1.3 Custom Designs: As our shoes are custom-crafted to your exact specifications, any changes to the design, material, or measurements after the confirmation may result in additional charges and a delay in production time.

2.1 Pricing: The price for your bespoke shoes will be confirmed during the consultation. All prices are subject to change based on materials or design modifications.

2.2 Deposit and Final Payment: A non refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of order confirmation. The final payment is due on entering the final completion stage of your shoes, prior to delivery or collection. We aim to make shoes deliverable within 30 days of receiving completion payment. 

2.3 Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit card, bank transfer or in cash, subject to prior approval. Full payment must be received before the delivery of the final product.

2.4 Commencement and Completion of Works: We reserve the right to withhold the commencement or completion of any work if there are outstanding payments due on the current order or any previous orders.

3.1 Estimated Timeframe: The production time for bespoke shoes typically ranges from 8 to 10 months, subject to evolution, depending on the design complexity and our current order volume. We will notify you of any delays as soon as they arise.

3.2 Delays: While we strive to meet the estimated production time frame, there may be delays due to unforeseen circumstances, such as material shortages or production issues. We will keep you updated on the status of your order.

4.1 Fit and Adjustments: Since our shoes are bespoke and made to your specifications, returns or exchanges are generally not accepted. However, we understand that adjustments may be needed for fit or comfort. We offer adjustments to your bespoke shoes within 3 months after delivery, free of charge. Additional changes after this period may incur extra charges.

4.2 Defective Products: If your shoes are found to be defective due to making errors, we will either repair or replace them at no additional cost. Defective items must be reported within 14 days of receiving your shoes.

5.1 Cancellation by You: If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Due to the bespoke nature of our services, cancellations are not eligible for a refund of any deposits paid. Once an order is confirmed, we begin preparing and sourcing materials specifically for your bespoke shoes, and as such, deposits are non-refundable.

5.2 Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel your order if we are unable to fulfill it due to unforeseen circumstances or if payment is not received in full within the agreed-upon timeframe. 

6.1 Delivery Charges: Any applicable delivery charges will be quoted separately and are the responsibility of the customer. We aim to deliver your bespoke shoes within the agreed timeframe, but cannot be held responsible for delays caused by external factors such as shipping or courier delays.

6.2 Collection: If you prefer to collect your shoes in person, we will notify you when they are ready for pickup. 

7.1 Proper Care: We recommend that you follow the care instructions provided with your shoes to ensure their longevity. Regular maintenance such as polishing, conditioning, and proper storage is essential for preserving the quality of the materials.

7.2 Repair and Restoration: Efe Laborde Bootmaker offers repair and restoration services for your bespoke shoes. Any repair costs will be quoted before any work begins.

8.1 Deposit: Payments for premium vintage leathers & fabrics, including those made in advance, serve solely as a reservation service to secure the specific materials for your bespoke order. These deposits guarantee the allocation of the chosen leather or fabric and ensure that the unique materials are set aside for your custom creation. 

8.2 Supply: We do not supply raw materials directly to customers, and the deposit is applied exclusively for the reservation and preparation of the materials necessary to complete your bespoke shoes.

8.3 Refund: Due to the bespoke nature of our services, we are unable to refund any deposit payments made for the reservation of vintage leathers & fabrics. 

9.1 Design Ownership: All lasts, designs and  patterns created by Efe Laborde Bootmaker remain the intellectual property of our company. Any unauthorized use or reproduction of our designs is strictly prohibited.

9.2 Customer Input: Any ideas or design input you provide remain the property of Efe Laborde Bootmaker, and we retain the right to use them for promotional or portfolio purposes unless otherwise agreed.

10.1 No Liability for Loss or Damage: We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits or business interruptions, resulting from the purchase of bespoke shoes.

10.2 Customer Responsibility: It is your responsibility to ensure that all provided measurements and design preferences are accurate. Efe Laborde Bootmaker is not liable for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by you.

11.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved according to the laws and legal processes of England and Wales.
